How does the daily allowance work?

You pick one shared number of minutes for every app, category, or site you've selected. Once that budget is used, all of them shield at once — not one at a time. It resets automatically at midnight.

Why is an app still shielded even though I closed everything?

Once your daily allowance is reached, the shield stays up until your day resets at midnight, or until you use the five-minute override. Closing the app doesn't give minutes back.

How does the five-minute override work?

Tap "I need 5 more minutes" on the shield, say why you're opening the app, and wait five seconds. If you still want in, you get five real minutes of usage inside a short window — then Khalas shields the app again automatically.

What do Sleep and Work blocks do?

Sleep shields your selected apps every night from 12:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Work shields them 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. Both run automatically once turned on in Blocks — no daily setup needed.

What does "Block everything now" do?

It starts an instant Focus session for a duration you choose, or until tomorrow morning, on top of whatever else is already scheduled. Useful for moments a schedule can't predict — an exam, a flight, a dinner.

Does Khalas see which apps I've selected?

No. Your Screen Time selection is handled by Apple's Family Controls framework directly, and Khalas cannot read it — only that a rule you set has fired. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How does sync work across my devices?

Through your private iCloud account. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID on each device with iCloud enabled for Khalas in Settings. There's no separate Khalas account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple. Go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone, select Khalas, and cancel there. Cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period.

Can you add feature X?

Maybe. Khalas stays deliberately focused on one job — interrupting unconscious scrolling — so the bar is high, but every suggestion gets read.
